Mark Mazzarella

Mark Mazzarella (he/him) is an actor, director, producer, guitarist, singer, and composer currently attending the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program. For Doghouse Ensemble Theatre, he has co-produced and directed Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, co-produced Elegies: A Song Cycle, performed in both incarnations of Mass Cycle: A Meditation on Cancer, and co-produced the 2016 Studio Cast Recording of Elegies: A Song Cycle. Other credits include RENT (Roger Davis), Dead Fish (director), Romeo and Juliet (Paris), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [abridged(revised)] (Stage Manager/Sound Designer), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Adjutant/Grand Duke/Drums/Violin/Singer), Cymbeline (Arvirargus), Spring Awakening (Guitar 1/Ulbrecht), and Sonnets for an Old Century (Kevin Jackson). He graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy with a Fine Arts Award for Excellence in Theatre in 2016. He is also the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of pacific northwest punk band Jayus Stabbings, which is currently producing its first album, “Trump Youth.”
